Bear Paw Cellars, a local vintner, needed a refresh on their logo and bottle labels. I was given a photo of a nostalgic bear illustration that had been painted on the cross section of a tree trunk. I was able to boost contrast on the image and give them a few solutions to use that art as a centerpiece for their brand along with a few typographic layouts for an update on their logo.
Established in 1978, Chateau Garage flourished in what was to become one of the world’s finest wine making areas, Los Altos, California. Strategically located just west of Alviso, south of San Francisco and northeast of famed Cannery Row, Chateau Garage was destined to produce wines that are a true reflection of the area - renowned for their distinctive and unique characteristics, memorable for a variety of reasons. In 1998, Chateau Garage expanded the cellaring operation to Weimar, California... a bold but necessary move. In 2021 it came time for a rebranding to Bear Paw Cellars.
