Given the reigns on creative, I worked with Live Oak’s event director’s to come up with a design that would showcase a bit of musical magic, the region it’s based in, and the all-time MC Joe Kraven as the centerpiece. I was also tasked with using this design to carry over to a beer can for the official beer of the fest in collaboration with Barrelhouse Brewing.
Live Oak is a yearly festival that benefit KCBX Public Radio. It features musicians performing a variety of genres, including funk, soul, folk, gospel, roots rock, Americana, jazz, bluegrass, blues, world music and more. Nestled in the beautiful El Chorro Valley that runs between Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo, the temperate climate, the trees, the early summer setting, and the slow-moving pace create a pastoral backdrop for relaxing and listening to great music with family and friends. It's hard to imagine a better way to kick off the lazy days of summer. www.liveoakfest.org.
This three day festival has been running for over twenty years now, and I had the honor of creating the main promotional graphics for 2024 and 2025.
